Libraries thrive when their people grow.

Through coaching, I help organizations strengthen their leaders, grow soft skills, and build cultures where people at every level can thrive.

Michelle’s Experience

I know what it is like to step into something new, to lead change, navigate transition, and recognize when support is needed to move forward. I bring lived leadership experience and a coaching-centered perspective to help libraries and public service organizations grow leaders with clarity and confidence.

I hold a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and bring more than twenty years of leadership in public libraries and city government. I have led teams, managed complex initiatives, and partnered across sectors to deliver responsive programs and community-focused impact.

As an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Certified Executive Coach, Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), and Kotter-trained change leader, I bring curiosity, clarity, and a growth mindset to organizational work, grounded in the belief that most challenges have reasonable solutions and do not need drama to move forward.

Service is central to my practice. I serve as a public library trustee and contribute to leadership and consulting initiatives within the American Library Association. I am actively engaged in regional and national conversations about libraries, leadership, and coaching. I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
